Physical Education is a crucial component of the overall education system. It contributes to achieving the ultimate goal of education, which is holistic development. Games and Sports are essential in a student’s life. While it is important for a student to study diligently to succeed in competitive exams, engaging in sports and games is equally vital for maintaining good health and vitality. In addition to academic pursuits, students should allocate time for sports and games. Focusing solely on studying or working can lead to exhaustion, making us less efficient. Sports help alleviate mental fatigue. Education without sports is inadequate. Sports are a significant aspect of our lives, striving for excellence and bringing honor to the institution. With the support of the college faculty, we are continuously enhancing our performance in sports.
Our Activities
- Physical Education and Sports department was started to develop students physically, mentally, intellectually and emotionally well.
- The College has provided sufficient Ground for athletes. There is a Sports complex in the sprawling college campus. Daily 200 to 250 students are utilizing the ground facilities.
- The Annual Sports Calendar is separated, which includes various inter-departmental tournaments, summer and winter camps and the Annual Athletics Meet, open to all students of the College. The institute has a strong record in sports events at the university, state, national and international levels.
- The College provides facilities for a wide variety of outdoor games like Cricket, foot ball, hand ball, badminton, Volley-ball, kabaddi and Track and field games like sprint, Shot put, Discus throw, Javelin throw Long jump etc.
- Separate rooms for Indoor activities like chess, carom board, ludo etc.
- Teams of different sports were sent to Intercollegiate and university level sports competition.
- Qualified Physical Director to train the students and to promote interest in Sports and Games.
- The Fitness Centre is equipped with both free weights and cardio training equipment such as cross trainers and bicycles to meet the demands of both students and faculty. Weight lifting and power lifting have their own specific facilities, such as benches and stands.
- A yoga center at our college typically offers a space for students, staff and faculty members to practice yoga as a form of exercise and relaxation.
- The center also offer a variety of yoga classes. The classes be led by trained and certified yoga instructors who are able to guide participants through proper alignment, breathing techniques and meditation practices. The center may also offer workshops or special events such as yoga teacher training, yoga retreats and yoga therapy sessions.
