Birsa Munda College began its academic journey in 2018 with nine departments, including the Department of Political Science.

The department of political science provides only Programme Course for the time being. To provide excellence knowledge to the students the department has well qualified faculties who are also prominent scholars in their respective field. The department is proud of the consistency of student’s progress in their results in both academic and non-academic fields.

Seminars, workshops, and extended lectures by prominent academics and outstanding researcher scholars are held often by the department. The department, in collaboration with other departments and colleges, organizes mock parliaments, student seminars, poster competitions, and other events to inspire and develop students and to foster a research-oriented attitude among them.
